Passed away on November 2nd, after a lengthy battle with an infection from lobectomy surgery at the age of 73. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Melfe (Tom); her stepsons Robert and Matt (his fiancé Jennifer); her stepdaughter Bridgitte Winter (Frank); her granddaughters Gianna and Sophia Melfe; her best friend, KitCat; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sharp, and her three nieces Lisa, Kelly and Marie, who was also her goddaughter. Marie was married to the love of her life Bob Marrs for 50 years, he passed in 2018. She had a strong loving relationship with her granddaughters Gianna and Sophia and had a close circle of friends that she would visit regularly, Sue, Jean, Lizzy, Kathy, Maria, and Mary. Marie lived in Ohio, Colorado, and Virginia but was a true Jersey Girl at heart being born and bred in Gloucester City and meeting Bob at Fort Dix. She was a self-proclaimed lover of all things Disney and was fortunate to have visited numerous times. She enjoyed shopping at Boscov’s, eating at Red Lobster, watching Lifetime, and mowing her lawn, which she was very meticulous about.
