Elaine M. "Lolly" (Potoak) Dallmer

October 29, 1938 — April 7, 2023

Marlton

The world in which we live equally distributes talent. But, it doesn't equally distribute opportunity. Talent is a gift but attitude, ethic and character are how you succeed. There’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you. Elaine M. “Lolly” Dallmer was solid in her opinions. She was honest and possessed an immeasurable work ethic. When it was time to roll up her sleeves… she did. “Lolly” was shaped by tough times during her formative years, raised by a single mother in a gritty coal mining town. She was both hellfire and holy water who loved her family, her grandkids and of course her puppies.

Over the past many years we lost time, we lost a little more “Lolly” but we remembered her love when she could no longer remember. The heart never forgets because love is not a memory. It’s a feeling and it’s in our soul.

On Friday April 15, 2023 time stood still. Elaine closed her eyes for the last time at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Voorhees.

“Lolly” was loyal and strong. Mrs. Dallmer was a longtime Marlton neighbor where she raised her family and supported her husband in the family business, Nova Construction also in Marlton. Life before dementia included; traveling, camping, a passionate interest in history and volunteering time at the St. John of God Community Services in Westville.

This is the time that we let go. These are the words that will take “Lolly” home. Mrs. Dallmer was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Cecelia “Tilly” (nee Macusky) Potoak as well as her step-dad, Felix Novacheck. Elaine is survived by her boys Keith and Neal Dallmer. She is the proud grandmother of Stephanie, Nicole, Adam and Harry. “Lolly” is the sister of Joe Potoak and was predeceased by her sister Janice Andrucyk. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her furry little friend, “Guinness”

Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to gather with the Dallmer family. We’ll be sharing our heartfelt stories on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn.
