Diane (Phipps) Stanton

July 13, 1961 — February 1, 2023

Pine Hill

Only by giving are you ever able to receive more than you have. Generosity is a practical expression of love. It’s the smallest act of kindness with the grandest intention. Diane K. Stanton (nee Phipps) couldn’t have been thought of as anything more than generous. She liked to take charge and approached each day with delicate kindness. Her solid work ethic easily made her the strong where the weak needed her and you knew she was close with that laugh that could fill a hundred rooms. Diane’s circle of days was a small one but, it was a great life with a lot of fun and certainly no regrets!

Diane believed in this world and the creatures that filled it. She was an instrument of peace who professed, “until you have loved an animal, part of your soul remains unawakened.” On Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Diane’s soul was awakened and after a brief 61 years, she took our world with her. We boxed up all of her yesterdays and neatly put them away.

Diane was born in, the rough part of, our nation’s cradle of liberty, Philadelphia, PA. She spent the last 26 years as a Pine Hill neighbor and made her career as a commercial account manager at TC Irons in Medford. At home Diane loved being with and walking her dogs. She was an active member of the South Jersey Bernese Mountain Dogs and loved to entertain and party with her family and friends. We all have our own memories of sitting out back, enjoying Christmas eve in the kitchen and our large annual family reunions. Diane loved to travel and had been to “Sin City” more than a dozen times.

Love doesn’t leave, unfortunately, people do. Although we are separated by death, we’re connected in love. After just one date, Ray & Diane were established in love and enjoyed 32 years of marriage. Diane leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Raymond Stanton, her sister-in-law Joanne Barbaro and her beloved faithful companions Shelby and Connie. Diane is also survived and will be sadly missed by her eclectic family of many aunts, uncles cousins, nieces, nephews a lifetime of friends, and furry companions.

Relatives, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are invited to gather with the Stanton family. We’ll come together to take comfort in each other and talk about the family reunions, the party the Vegas trips, and remembering that louder-than-life laugh on Wednesday morning between 9:00 am and 11:30 am at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn. A remembrance ceremony will be celebrated by Pastor, Rev. Chuck Mitchell at 11:30 am. A graveside tribute and the witness of a family reunion will immediately follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Funny Farm Rescue & Sanctuary www.funnyfarmrescue.org 6908 Railroad Blvd. Mays Landing, NJ 08330
