Sara "Peg" Mary Tiddy

Sara Mary "Peg" Tiddy (nee Battersby), age 97, daughter of John and Sarah (Dougherty) Battersby, a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, passed away peacefully on January 14th at the Lutheran Crossings in Moorestown. She was predeceased by husbands Louis E. Dunkle and Thomas W. Tiddy and brothers John, James (both in Ireland), Horace, William, and Joseph. Peg worked for over 36 years at the Nanette Manufacturing Company. She is survived by two beloved sons, the Rev. Louis William Dunkle, D.Min. (Carleen) of Cherry Hill and John Joseph. Dunkle of Essington, PA. She was the loving grandmother of Lori Draft (Steve) of Centereach, NY, Leslie Natsis (John) of Westmont, and Jeffrey (Kimberly) of Naples, FL., beloved great grandmother of Cory Dunkle, Simone Draft, Brittany and Zachary Dunkle. She is also survived by two very special nieces Dolores Holt and Mary Battersby and one grandnephew Vernon Turner. Peg loved living at Gloucester Towne with the view of the river from her 5th floor apartment. Peg was a longtime active member of Lutheran congregations in Gloucester City, Mt. Ephraim, Westville, and Woodbury. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Etherington-Creran Funeral Home, 700 Powell St., Gloucester City. Peg's Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 PM. Interment will be held at the convenience of her family. Memorial gifts in Peg's name may be given to Lutheran Crossings, 255 E. Main St., Moorestown 08057, the "Resident Fund" at Gloucester Towne, 101 Market St., Gloucester City 08030, or a charity of your choice.
