Philip "Butch" Franchi

January 23, 1940 — February 29, 2016

On February 29, 2016, of Sewell, NJ, age 76. He was the beloved husband of the late Diana (nee Boyle), loving father of Philip, Jr., Kim (Nichole), and Mark (Chrissy) Franchi, dear brother of Natalie Muldoon and loving grandfather of Philip III, Felicia, Robin and Chickie. He was predeceased by his parents Giustino and Mary, his brothers Vincent Sr., Jacob Sr., Albert Sr., Samuel Sr., Guiseppi Sr., William Sr. and his sister Anna Miller. Butch was born and raised in the Sweet Potato Hill section of South Camden and was the founder and owner of Franchi Demolition, "The Real Wrecker". He enjoyed cruising in his car or boat, and spending Sundays with his late wife Diana, whether it was a quick trip to the Berlin Mart or a ride to the shore. He also enjoyed taking care of his farm animals, going to car shows, eating out with family and friends but don't ever try to pick up the tab, and of course decorating the house for Christmas. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and again Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM on Monday at the Church. Interment will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr.
