On June 23, 2007 of Cherry Hill, NJ age 40 years passed away quietly at home following a nine-year struggle with ovarian cancer. Nancy is the daughter of Peggy Ravoni (nee Overland) and her husband Tony of Blackwood, NJ and the late Richard DeFrates; devoted mother of Corey and Casey; loving sister of Denise Bauer of Laurel Springs, Joan Boaggio of Oaklyn, Bruce DeFrates and his wife Lorrie of Cherry Hill, Susan Laurits and her husband Igor of Creamridge and Linda Graham and her husband Ian of Cherry Hill.
Nancy graduated Cherry Hill High School West in 1984 and later Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy. She attended Camden County College and was employed by Wegman's in
Mt. Laurel. She was an active member and frequent speaker for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
Nancy loved funny cards, Bruce Springsteen and outdoor fun and games, especially kayaking, Girl's Weekends and Sea Isle City.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Nancy's Life on Thursday, June 28th at 11:00AM at the Maranatha Christian Fellowship, 802 North Lenola Rd, Moorestown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Nancy's name to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Southern New Jersey Division, P.O. Box 864, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 or Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053. Arrg. by HENRY FUNERAL HOME, Audubon.
