Miriam E. Garrity (nee Pfeffer), of Collingswood, passed away at Virtua Hospital, Berlin on Thursday September 4, 2008.
Mrs. Garrity was born in Collingswood. She had been a lifelong resident and spent some time living in Palm Coast, FL. Miriam was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church in Oaklyn and had worked as a Telephone Operator at Verizon in Berlin for 20 years.
Mrs. Garrity is the wife of the late John T. Garrity, Sr. and is the mother of the late Patricia Garrity-Burns, the late John T. Garrity, the late James J. Garrity and his wife Susan, Miriam Bird & her husband Steve, Kathleen Hewitt & her husband Bill and Richard J. Garrity. Miriam is the Proud Grandmother of Kathleen Burns, Steven Burns, Lynn Garrity, James J. Garrity, Lauren S. Garrity and Alfred, David, Kelly and Andrea Bird. She is also the proud Great-Grandmother of 11.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the Garrity family to remember and pay tribute to Miriam on Tuesday between 10 and 11 am at St. Aloysius Church 37 W. Haddon Ave. Oaklyn where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Inurnment and graveside tribute will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
