Milton K Hunter, Sr.

September 29, 1952 — June 25, 2022

Barrington

“Because U deserve what every individual should ever receive”. Life is ours and we live it our way. Every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest treasure. You can't buy happiness, but you can buy beer. That’s kind of the same thing. Milton K. Hunter, Sr. was crazy and took no shit! He was the life of the party, a friendly and loving homebody. Here’s to the ones that we got. Cheers to the wish that you were here but you're not. ‘Cause the beers bring back all the memories and the memories bring back memories, bring back you. On Saturday, June 25th, we toasted 69 years. One more for you and one for the road.

Milton was born in Camden, NJ, and had been a longtime Gloucester neighbor before moving to Barrington in his later years. He made an honest living out of hard work as a drywaller and had worked for Down Beach Drywall in Egg Harbor Twp. Milton loved to fish and taught his boys how to be fishermen. At home, he loved nothing more than spending time in his backyard or cheering on, the often difficult, Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. Milton, this Bud’s for you.

Mr. Hunter is the widower of the late Margaret Ann (nee Haugh) Hunter and is survived by his boys; Milton “Kenny”, Jr. and William Hunter. He is the proud grandfather of Milton, III, Deena Houghton, and great grandfather of Marc Hunter, Payton, and Russell Houghton. Milton is also survived and will be sadly missed by his brothers; William, John, and Wayne as well as his sisters Catherine Bruccoliere and Shirley Hunter.

Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with Milton’s family. We’ll be telling old fishing stories, talkin’ ‘bout the “Iggles” and Phillies, and toasting our father, grandfather, brother, and friend on Friday morning between 10:00 and 11:00 am at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 700 Powell St., Gloucester City.
