With profound sorrow and deep respect, we share the passing of Mark A. Causey, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ. Mark was born in Camden, and his life was defined by service, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his community.
Mark wore many uniforms in his lifetime, but the one thread that connected them all was his heart for helping others. He spent years as a volunteer firefighter, proudly serving with the Pennsauken Fire Department, Delaview Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, Gloucester City Fire Department, Camden County Fire Police, Bellmawr Park Fire Dept., and Bellmawr Fire Dept. His devotion to public safety and his fearless willingness to serve made him a respected and beloved figure across Camden County.
Professionally, Mark worked with Mars Metropolitan Asset Recovery before transitioning to the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 8 in Philadelphia,
Mark's life was full, He was the husband to Jennifer (née Barnett) Causey and is survived by Regina Gibson. He is the father to John Causey, Kylie, Melissa Champion (and her husband Perry), Devon Causey, Tracey Causey, Harold Causey, Katie, and Nina Ahrens, and a proud grandfather to Lilliana, Aubreigh, Bentlee, Gunner, Jaxon, John, Julian, and Nova. He now joins in eternal peace his grandchildren Adrianna, Paisley, and Greyson, who passed before him.
Mark was predeceased by his mother Mildred B. Warrington, his brother Edward Causey, Sr., and leaves behind his sisters Antoinette Nungesser and Tracey Bishop, as well as his nieces and nephews Tiffany, Shannon, Joseph, Wesley III, and many more who will hold his memory close.
To know Mark was to know loyalty, laughter, strength, and generosity. He was the kind of man who ran toward the fire for anyone who needed him. His legacy is one of service and sacrifice.
