Marian E Kirwin, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many with her kindness and grace, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Care One in Moorestown. She was born in Forest City, PA, and had been a longtime Audubon neighbor, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity.
Throughout her life, Marian dedicated herself to the arts and culture, enjoying a fulfilling career at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Her passion for creativity had a glow in everything she did, inspiring those around her to appreciate the beauty in the world.
Marian bravely served her country with honor and valor. she selflessly contributed to the manpower of our great nation in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Her commitment to upholding the ideals of our American freedoms is a testament to her unwavering patriotism.
Marian was predeceased by her loving husband James Kirwin, who shared countless precious moments with her throughout their years together. She was also predeceased by her parents Andrew P. and Emily (nee Slick) Lazar, and her late siblings; Andrew, Alice, Eva, Mary, and Pauline whose memories will forever be cherished.
Marian will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the memories we hold dear and in knowing that Marian's spirit lives on through her niece Judith Massetti, her brother-in-law Kenneth Kirwin, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Their lives have been enriched by Marian's love and light.
Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the Kirwin family. We’ll come together in tribute and thanksgiving on Tuesday morning between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church 300 E. Kings Highway, Haddon Heights where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The witness of love’s reunion and United States Navy military honors will take place graveside, at 1:00 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA. These gatherings offer an opportunity for those who knew and loved Marian to come together and celebrate her remarkable life.
As we bid farewell to Marian E Kirwin, let us carry forward her legacy of compassion and creativity. May her spirit continue to inspire us to seek beauty in all things and treasure the moments we share with those we hold dear. In our hearts forevermore.
