Louise E Hannigan

December 25, 1922 — September 2, 2025

Oaklyn

Louise E. Hannigan (nee Lovern) of Oaklyn, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at 102. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Hannigan, Jr., loving mother of John J. III and his wife Marilyn of Bethesda, MD, and Eileen Hannigan of Haiku, HI. She was the grandmother of Raymond Pope and his wife, Ronda, of Haiku, HI, and Michelle Pope and her husband, Stan Zielinski, of Tumwater, WA, and the proud great-grandmother of Nathan Pope and Kaitlyn Pope of San Diego, CA. Her brothers, Carl of Oaklyn, NJ, and Tom of NC, along with many nieces and nephews, will hold her memory in deep affection.

Trained in engineering, Louise broke barriers as an architectural draftsman, eventually leading an entire team as foreman for New Jersey Bell Telephone, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. She lived a full and vibrant life, enjoying gardening, tennis, golfing, swimming in her pool, and extensive travels near and far. Known for her strength, resilience, and a sense of humor that helped her weather life's storms, she was deeply loved and will be remembered with great fondness by all who knew her.

She will be cremated according to her wishes, with her remains placed at Beverly National Cemetery alongside her late husband. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory below.
