The difference between friends and pets is that we allow friends into our company, and pets into our solitude. Until you have loved an animal, part of your soul remains unawakened. When Lisa looked into the eyes of an animal, she saw a friend. Her heart was filled with compassion, and each of her days was filled with kindness. Lisa A. Thomas loved the thrill of live shows, the excitement of baseball, and quiet time doting on her boys.

On Friday, February, 13, 2026, the absolute unthinkable became the unspeakable, and our tears not only fell, they crashed around us! Lisa passed away at Einstein Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. Lisa gave a gift above all others, one to treasure. A gift that knows no time, no place, it’s one that gold cannot measure. The precious, poignant, tender gift of life.

Lisa was born in Camden and had been a longtime Glendora neighbor. Although nothing compared to family time, Lisa loved the theater, cheering on the “Phightin Phils,” and had opened both her heart and home to the animals in need. Lisa, along with her husband, volunteered her time at the Animal Welfare Association (AWA) in Voorhees. She made her career working at the County Clerk's office and was the co-owner and operator of Wash Tech Commercial Laundry and Bubble Wash in Vineland. Lisa was so proud of her husband, Larry, especially when he was behind the kit holding the beat down.

She was his lucky penny, and Larry was her 4-leaf clover. Lisa leaves to cherish her memory and will be deeply missed by her adoring husband, Larry Thomas, as well as her son, Michael Thomas. Michael was the center of Lisa’s world. God doesn’t give special children to special parents. He takes ordinary, imperfect people and gifts them the greatest treasures, creating special parents. Lisa volunteered her time at the St. John of God Community Services and was Michael’s number one fan and supporter in the Special Olympics. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her in-laws, Peggy (Brian), Stephen (Heather), and her mother-in-law, Peg & the late Edwin Thomas. Lisa is like a niece to Vicki Campisi (Fred) and a proud aunt of Zachary, Carley (Jeff), Kaitlin (Coe), Camryn (Brad), and Cayla Samuel. Lisa will be forever missed by her dear friends Joyce (Bob) and Bob Ludwick.

Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the Thomas family. We’ll come together to take comfort in each other on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Home,s 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn, where a time of reflection, stories, and memories will follow, during which those who wish to speak and share are welcome, will begin at 12:00 pm
