Laura D. Williams

Laura D. Williams, (nee Szweda), age 97 of Clementon, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 26, 2009 at the Care One of Jackson.

Mrs. Williams was the daughter of Anna Drzewucka from West Virginia who moved to Philadelphia, PA where Laura was born on April 1, 1911. She spent her early years in Camden and had been a longtime resident of Audubon. She was a Parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Haddon Heights and later St. Agnes Church, Blackwood. Laura worked as comptometer operator for Curtis Publishing Co. in Philadelphia for 20 years and loved to line dance, travel, read and bowl. She had been a member of the Golden Slippers in Gloucester Twp. and the Audubon Young at Heart.

Mrs. Williams is the wife of the late Frank Williams and is the mother of Sister Barbara Williams, RSM, President Emerita of Georgian Court University, Lakewood. She had been predeceased by her son and his family the late; Ronald, Sr. his wife Annette and tragically Ronald, Jr.. She had also been predeceased by her siblings Stephen and Frank Drzewucki, Marie Cybulski and Josephine Burke.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 am at St. Agnes Church 701 Little Gloucester Rd. Blackwood. Interment and Graveside Tribute will willow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Blackwood - Chews Landing. Relatives and Friends are invited to join the family to remember and pay tribute to Laura on Sunday between 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Henry Funeral Home 152 W. Atlantic Ave. Audubon and on Monday between 10:30 and 11 am at church.
