Obituary

Nurturing a garden doesn’t just feed the body, but the soul. When we plant in a garden, it proves that we believe in tomorrow. There is a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to love and a time to hate, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to mourn and a time to dance.

If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down. Like the owl, Julia Anne Harris flew into the night’s crisp sky. After 83 years, it was time. To turn Aunt Jule over from time to eternity. It’s our time to tear and mend. Love is found in the silent moments we share.

Julie Anne was born in Camden and spent her formative years in a large family there. She had spent many years living in Gloucester, Paulsboro, and, more recently, Blackwood. Jule was the “fun aunt”, the “go to”. She was energetic, childlike, and wondrous. Nurturing, pleasant, and easy-going. At home, she tended her house plants and lost hours in her vegetable garden, even selling her tomatoes roadside. She took care of the kids and enjoyed pressing lady luck on the casino bus trips with her brother and sisters.

Jule is the daughter of the late Lester & his wife Julia (nee Schwiering) Harris and is the sister of the late Lester Harris, the late William Harris, the late Marie Ezzi, the late Patricia Karlsen and the late Frank Harris. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as her lifelong best friend of over 70 years, Peggy (nee McKernan) Lee.

We all knew Aunt Jule was always late, but please join us on time… Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather in a graveside tribute with prayers on Tuesday afternoon at 12:00 pm at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, 515 W. Browning Rd., Bellmawr.
