Jesse J Duer

September 3, 1986 — November 3, 2018

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? Poetry is when an emotion has found it's thought and that thought has found it's words. Jesse J. Duer's thoughts were creative. His words were intelligent and funny. He exuded an endearing charisma along with that infectious smile and laughter that made him a small time movie star with good stories and bad jokes.

In their hit song, The Beatles had sung; "You say Yes, I say no... You say goodbye and I say hello..." Unexpectedly on Saturday November 3rd, 2018 we had to say goodbye at just the age of 32. Jesse, how we wish, how we wish you were here! You have left us uncomfortably numb.

Jesse was born in Turnersville and had spent his early years in Mt. Ephraim where he graduated form Audubon High School in 2004 before moving to Woodbury. He was a loyal friend and loving father who will be fondly remembered as a character with matching sneakers and cap. He loved music, especially the Beatles & Pink Floyd who kept his thoughts in his writing. He enjoyed fishing and was quick to tell you about the biggest fish that got away. Jesse worked as a stage hand and had been a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 8 in Philadelphia where he earned a cameo appearance in Jay-Z's "Made In America" Documentary.

Jesse is the son of Diane (nee Merklin) and the late Charles Duer, Sr. He is survived by his son, Finn and his sweetheart Ashley Wood. Jesse is also survived and will be sadly missed by his; sister, Elizabeth "Lizz" O'Reilly, his brothers Charles and Kevan and his maternal grandmother Margaret Merklin.

Relatives, Friends, Neighbors and the I.A.T.S.E. Local 8 are invited to join the Duer family and remember Jesse, share fishing stories and bad jokes and pay tribute to to a our son, father, friend and brother on Thursday afternoon between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Henry Funeral Home 152 W. Atlantic Ave. Audubon. To share a story, please visit www.henryfuneralhome.com
