Grace D. Mayers (nee Griffin), age 90, passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2008 in Newnan, GA.
Mrs. Mayers had lived in Audubon for 58 years and was active in scouting, PTO, the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Audubon Women's Club for which she served as President. Grace had been a proud breast cancer survivor for over 50 years. She loved life and lived it well.
She is the wife of the late Arnold Ernest Mayers and mother the late Grayce "Petie" Mayers Chauncey. Grace is survived by her daughters Barbara Jane Mayers, Jeannette Lorraine Mayers Jackson, her grandchildren Michael Chauncey, Alayne Chauncey, Christopher Jackson, Reagan Jackson Barnhill and Great-Grandmother of Corinne Chauncey, Alyxandra Chauncey Deptula, Zachary Jackson and Nathan Jackson.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate & pay tribute to the life of Grace Doris Griffin Mayers on Sunday afternoon between 12pm and 1 pm at the funeral home 152 W. Atlantic Ave. Audubon where a Memorial Service will begin at 1 pm.
