George Myers Foreman, age 89, of Lewes, Delaware, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Pleasantville, NJ, George was the son of the late Robert Foreman and Alice (nee Myers) Foreman. A proud and hardworking man, George devoted his life to his family and his craft as a skilled union carpenter. He was a loyal member of Local 158 (later becoming 1050), where he built not only structures but also lifelong friendships and a reputation for integrity, strength, and dedication.
George was a man of simple joys and a great heart. He loved exploring yard sales and flea markets, where he enjoyed connecting with others, uncovering hidden treasures, and sharing stories. His love of family and community was the cornerstone of his life, and his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
George is survived by his devoted wife, Audrey (nee Stiles) Foreman, and his beloved children: Mark Foreman & his wife Annette, Steven Foreman & his wife Kimberly and Georgene Foreman. George was predeceased by his daughters, (the late) Sharlene Foreman and Sharon Foreman. He was the proud grandfather of Sean, Tara, Brittney, Natasia, and a proud great-grandfather to Anastaja, Jeydah, Kingston, and Layla.
George was predeceased by his late siblings; Bobby Foreman, Marlene Farmani, Virginia Close, Kenny Foreman, Eugene Foreman, and Jimmy Foreman. He is survievd and will be deeply missed by his sister Sally & her husband Bob Plotts and Butch Foreman.
George will be remembered as a man of resilience, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. His hands did more than build—they built a legacy of love, strength, and family. His presence will be deeply missed but forever treasured in the hearts of those who knew him.
