Born March 9, 1960, in Canos, Alcobaca, Portugal, Fernando R. Lourenco was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He spent his childhood in Vimeiro, where he met the love of his life, Teresa. After relocating to the United States, he worked hard as a framer and job site manager for Delcon Builders Inc. and its affiliates for 35 years. Dedicated to making the best life possible for his family, he also kept an eye on tradition by keeping his family’s farming roots alive and teaching his children and grandchildren the values of hard work, commitment, and the infallible belief that if you can dream it, you can do it. His wisdom, sound judgment, strong character, and willingness to share a drink and a story with those he held dear will be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Teresa, daughter Andreia (Paulo) Martins, son Elio (Katherine) Lourenco, daughter Cristina (Vincenzo) Lourenco, and his grandchildren Annabella and Nicholas Martins, as well as Arthur, William, and Charlotte Lourenco.
Relatives, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are invited to gather with the Lourenco family. We’ll come together in faith, tribute, and thanksgiving on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at Resurrection Parish, St. Casimir Church, 502 New Jersey Ave., Riverside, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. A graveside tribute will immediately follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Fernando’s memory to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111 by clicking the link below
