Doris Schemel

On August 28, 2015, (nee Hughes) of Mantua, NJ and formerly of Gloucester City, age 83. She is the beloved mother of David R. and Stephen D. Schemel (Fiancé Yvonne Casserly) and loving grandmother of Zila, Straten, Amalia and Aubrey. She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her loving parents Robert and Williamina Hughes, her brothers Robert, William and George and her sister, Mary McGrath. Doris was a member of the Gloucester High School Class of 1950 graduating 7th in her class. She had worked as an executive secretary, for a total of 56 years, for RCA in Cherry Hill and Rapid Forms in Bellmawr. Doris was devoted to both her family and her work. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
