Dennis C. Dobie

March 30, 1940 — July 15, 2015

Dennis C. Dobie, of Cherry Hill, NJ, age 75, went home to be with the Lord after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer, on July 15. Beloved husband of Ginny [nee Matthews] for 50 years. Devoted father of Susan Blackwell (Joseph) and Robert Dobie (Tracy). Dear brother of Jill Cowen (Joseph) and brother-in-law of Bernard Matthews (Eileen). Loving Pop-Pop of Katelyn, Megan, Lauren and Kyle. Caring uncle of Todd Heacock. Also survived by a niece and nephew, cousins and many devoted friends. Graduated Collingswood High School '59 and Drexel Evening College '69, enjoyed a career in mechanical engineering for over 50 years. He was a man of faith, who enjoyed reading the Bible, helping others, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was always proud to say he was a Marine and had a life-long passion for trains, especially his Lionels. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
