Edward W. Scharr, Jr., age 87 of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Mr. Scharr was born in Camden and had been a Cinnaminson resident. He made his career as a truck driver, working at Boise Cascade in Pennsauken during his early years and later at Auto Sunroof in Cinnaminson before retiring.
Mr. Scharr comes from a large family, the son of the late Edward, Sr. & his late wife Margaret (nee Munger). He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Elizabeth (nee Engwall), and is the father of; Deborah Leitner, Edward, III & his wife Marybeth, and the late Troy Scharr. Mr. Scharr is the proud grandfather of; Michael, Ashley and her husband Michael, Courtney, Christopher, the late Nicholas, and great-grandfather of; Mia, Xander, Aaliyah, and Alexianna. Ed is the brother of; the late Joe & his wife Carol, the late Elmer & his wife Virginia, the late John & his wife Debbie, Eleanor & her late husband John Davis, the late Florence & her late husband Richard Brown, Shirley & her late husband John Wills, Marge & her late husband Dave Weitzel and Helen & her late husband Donald Edelmayer.
Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the Scharr family. We’ll be sharing our heartfelt stories on Saturday morning between 9:30 am and 11:00 am at Asbury United Methodist Church 2492 Andover Rd., Cinnaminson where a Memorial Ceremony will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Inurnment will immediately follow in the Asbury United Methodist Churchyard.
